Dressed in white: baptisms and blessings

This sweet girl got baptized a member of
last Sunday.

The same day her darling baby brother blessed.

I learned something while photographing them:
I love taking pictures of 8 year old girls.
Old enough to pose and love every second of getting photographed.
Young enough to not be embarrassed.

In short, a dream.

Daddy Walks

Every evening as soon as dinner ends all we hear is
"Daddy walks? Go on a Daddy walk?"

Dad is always willing to oblige.

be in a picture twice--without photo-shop

Looks tricky, right?
It really isn't difficult at all.
Using a tripod, set the shutter speed on your camera to be between 10-15 seconds.
{Depends on how fast you can write backwards in the air.}

Start with a dark place.

Press the shutter release.

Use a flash light to write your message backwards in the air.
--The light should be facing the camera.--
--Be sure to turn it off between each letter.--
--Don't stop to think with your light on.--

If you want to be in the picture:
 Pose, then have someone flash a light on you for 1-2 seconds.
--The person behind the camera flashed a light in the first two pictures.--
--The person in the picture did in the last one.--

Be sure to hold REALLY still.
{I was moving a little too much in that first picture.}

Be careful, if you get too much light you will drown out your letters.

Not enough light and you will look like this.

Loving my new bed.

I know I just posted a similar picture on my regular blog,
but they took a little bit of work, so I wanted to document.

It's raining and raining today (Hurricane Alex didn't hit directly, but he gave us a storm)
and I didn't like the look of the overhead light (shadows)
so it was pretty dark when I { snapped } this picture.
